A very happy Kurulus Osman Episode 65 features Osman being chosen as the tribe's new leader. Bala is poisoned by Flatyos as her escape route. In the aftermath of the rigged elections, Osman finds out that Dundar talked to Nikola secretly. Meanwhile, the spies of the Pope disguised as merchants arrive in the plain and begin to collect information.
Flatyos kills some of the people who come to meet with Osman. He invites them to Sogut, but Osman wants to hold an important meeting with the Turkish Beys. As a result, Osman becomes very angry and plans to seize Inegol.
Dundar still makes secret plans to become leader of the tribe, and even seeks help from the Pope's spies. Despite the addition of Constantinople's soldiers, Nikola attacks Osman and loses the battle. Nikola forms a new crusader army and captures Savci's son as a form of revenge. With Targun, Goktug, the exiled man by Osman's decision, travels to Nikola to speak with him. While this is going on, Malhun and her soldiers arrive in support of Osman, and Nikola is forced to rethink his plans. Malhun is responsible for Targun's death, but Bala is uncomfortable with her. He also offers Malhun a land for her tribe to stay on while he seeks out the Pope's spies.
