Introduction

Realme 8i is currently the most affordable smartphone among the entire Series 8 lineup, but it also appears to be the most intriguing offering among its peers. The phone was designed with gamers and photographers in mind and offers a 120Hz display, a capable and budget chipset, and a 50MP camera from Samsung. Read on to learn more!

    The Realme 8i offers interesting features and is a versatile smartphone. A 6.6-inch IPS LCD screen with a 120Hz dynamic refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling is included. While Realme cannot promise gaming with higher frame rates out of the box, it does work closely with limited developers to ensure that gameplay is faster than 60fps. With its Helio G96 chipset, the 8i is capable of superior graphics over previous Helio G models thanks to its Mali-G57 GPU cores. You can purchase two different Realme 8i models, one with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage and one with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. There is a dedicated microSD slot, too.


    Also, the main camera is incredibly promising - it uses a 50MP Samsung sensor and should be able to take some pretty pictures day or night. It is equipped with two 2MP cameras - one for macro shots and one for taking portraits. The Realme 8i is powered by a massive 5,000mAh battery. Charges at 18W - not the fastest around, but still not bad either.

    Unboxing

    Realme 8i is generally packaged in the same eye-catching yellow box as most of their budget phones. A USB cable and an 18W power adapter are included.

    A transparent soft case is also included in the retail bundle - it is in the paper compartment. We peeled off the smudge magnet that was applied in the factory, but it felt cheap and we found that it was a smudge magnet, so we removed it immediately.
