So let me tell you friends how to hide Instagram chats. So DM or direct messages can be hidden from others easily. So friend s let me tell you what all you need to do. So if you want to follow my personal account that's all up to you.
so lets suppose there is a chat which I want to hide on Instagram. so this trick is going to work 100%. So lets quickly go and learn the trick to hide the Instagram. First you need to go to your account, you will find a menu icon then go to setting,
then in to account setting and then convert professional account or click switch account and click switch to business account. now after converting you will see you have insights option and many other option. now I will to direct messages or chats. now you can see there is a option on general. its basically two categories general and primary. Primary is kind of daily people /friends and general are unknowns. so any new message will come to general. keep primary chat and convert it to general. so after moving to general you will see its moved to general folder. now you have to go back, go to settings, account settings and then switch account to personal account.
So after switching back to personal account. and go to chats and you will see the chat is now hidden which you actually converted to General chat.
So how you can unhide that chat? so you need to go back to account setting and now switch to professional account. now you can see in chats folder that hidden chat is now visible.
So now let me tell you downside, that is if incase you receive a new message then it will be visible to everyone and second problem is if incase you search on chats then even you will be able to see the hidden chat in Instagram.
